Assam Career : NIRCCH Recruitment 2024

Applications are invited for recruitment of various technical positions or career in NIRCCH Assam.

National Institute for Research in Reproductive and Child Health (NIRCCH) Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or career of Scientist-C (Non-Medical). The institute began its journey as a family planning unit in 1954 at the ICRC (Later named as Cancer Research Unit). On 20th July 2002, the institute got a new name as ‘National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health’. The Institute achieved national status in recognition of its scientific contributions made since its inception. Within 5 years of its inception, the Institute broadened the spectrum of its activities and got its name as Reproductive Physiology Unit (RPU). It became a need that the unit should work in close collaboration with a public hospital to conduct application-oriented research. This led to the shifting of the Unit to the premises of the Seth G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital, in 1963 and also a vital administrative transfer, from being governed by the Directorate of Family Planning, Government of India to the Indian Council of Medical Research.

Essential Qualification :

1st class Post graduate Degree in Public Health / Epidemiology from a recognized university with 3
years experience altogether

OR

2nd class Post graduate Degree in Public Health/ Epidemiology from a recognized university
Ph.D degree in relevant subjects from a recognized university with also 3 years experience

Age Limit : 40 years
