Applications are invited for recruitment of various technical positions or career in Jorhat Medical College Assam.

Jorhat Medical College & Hospital (JMCH) Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Research Scientist I under Department of Health Research (DHR) funded project "Multidisciplinary Research Unit (MRU)." After the establishment of Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh on 3rd Nov, 1947, Gauhati Medical College, Guwahati on 20th Sept, 1960 and Silchar Medical College, Silchar on 15th August, 1968; the State Government had not established any new Medical College and thereby created a big vacuum in the Health Care delivery system. The Government of Assam under the leadership of then Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi selected Jorhat as a site for a new medical college to bring advanced  and state- of- the- art medical education and tertiary health care facilities to middle Assam, the area between Guwahati and Dibrugarh. It has been thought that this medical college at Jorhat would cater to the health care needs of about 1.2 million population of Jorhat with three subdivisions at Moriani, Titabar and the famous river island Majuli.

Essential qualification:

MSc/MVSC in Bio-chemistry/ Molecular Biology/Microbiology/MSc. Biotechnology/Life Science

Desirable :

Candidates who intends to complete Ph.D degree in molecular techniques.

Ph.D Degree

Hands on experience of RNA/DNA isolation, Real Time PCR and ELISA technique and Bioinformatics tools and techniques

Experience : Minimum 3 years in the related fields.

Age : Maximum 37 years on the date of interview

Salary : Rs. 60,480.00 per month
