Applications are invited for recruitment of various project based positions or career in IASST Guwahati Assam.

Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST), Guwahati, Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF) under the Physical Sciences Division of the Institute. Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST) is a premier scientific research organization in the north-east region. The Assam Science Society conceived and nurtured the institute in its initial years. Noble Laureate Dorothy C. Hodgkin inaugurated the institute on 3rd November 1979. The state government supported it as its only autonomous R&D institute till March 2009. The institute was taken over in March 2009 by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt of India as one of its autonomous R&D Institutes. The Institute is engaged in multidisciplinary research activities, both in fundamental and applied, across frontier areas of science and technology altogether such as Plasma Physics, Polymer Sciences, Biochemistry, Drug Design & Development etc.

Qualification :

Essential:

M.Sc. In Physics and Ph.D. in Physics/Materials Science with expertise also in advance computational techniques for materials modeling and simulation.

Desirable:

Additional experience of also working with experimental techniques for materials characterization and properties

Candidate who has submitted their Ph.D. thesis may also apply

Fellowship : Rs. 55000/- plus admissible HRA as per institute rules

Age Limit : Upper age limit is 35 years altogether at the time of the application. Relaxation also as per GoI rules
