Applications are invited for recruitment of various project based positions or career in Gauhati University Assam.
Gauhati University Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Project Associate-I (PA-I) in a DST-SERB funded Core Research Grant (CRG) entitled as "Water-soluble Ru (II) and Pd (II) Porphyrins as Novel Photo sensitizers for Photodynamic Therapy" under the guidance of Dr. Tridib Kumar Goswami, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry. Gauhati University is altogether one of the premier institutions of higher education in Northeast India and one of the most sought-after postgraduate institutions. Being the oldest and the largest university in the entire Northeast, the university represents the academic and cultural background of the region, on which the other academic institutions of Northeast India started their journey. Being the pioneer educational institute also, it extends its hand holding support to all subsequent academic institutions in this region. Indologist and philanthropist Krishna Kanta Handiqui was the founder Vice Chancellor of Gauhati University. Some very illustrious sons and daughters of Assam have been its alumni.

Qualification:
M.Sc. in Chemistry with at least 60% marks.
Preference may also be given to candidates having experience on synthesis of metalloporhyrins.
Emoluments:
(i) Rs. 31,000/- + 16% HRA per month for candidates with CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship
(Assistant Professorship) or GATE.
(ii) Rs. 25,000/- + 16% HRA per month for others who do not fall under (i) above or as
recommended by DST.
