Gauhati High Court Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Stenographer Grade-III and Duftry (Grade-IV).

Pay Scale : PB -2 Rs. 14,000 – 60,500 GP Rs. 7,400

Essential Qualification :

i. Must be a graduate from a recognized University.

ii. Must possess Diploma/Certificate in Stenography having minimum speed of 80 w.p.m in shorthand and computer typing speed of 40 w.p.m.

Pay Scale : PB -1 Rs. 12,000 – 52,000 GP Rs. 4,400

Essential Qualification : HSLC pass or equivalent from a recognized Central or State Board.

Age Limit :

• UR : 18-40 years
• SC / ST : 18-45 years
• OBC / MOBC : 18-42 years
• PWD : 18-50 years

Selection Procedure :

Stenographer Grade-III :

Stenography Test: 90 marks Written test : 70 marks (2 hours duration) Interview/Viva-Voce: 20 marks

Duftry : Written Test (Objective Type Multiple Choices): One and half hour (Ninety Minutes): 50 marks Interview/ Viva-Voce: 20 marks
