BEML Limited Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Consultant for Lean Manufacturing.

Qualification :

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Manufacturing
Engineering or a related field. Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, such as Lean Six Sigma (Black
Belt/ Green Belt) or Certified Lean Manufacturing Consultant.

Desirable knowledge : In-depth understanding of Lean Manufacturing methodologies (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban, JIT, etc.). Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Continuous Improvement (CI) processes.

Experience :

Should have at least 15 years of experience in manufacturing industries with focus on Lean implementation (in large industries).

Among the experience a minimum of 5 years of Consultancy level experience in Lean Manufacturing.

Work experience in heavy machinery industries, transport systems (Railways/ Metro) or complex engineering products would be added advantage.

Understanding engineering-specific challenges, including supply chain management, equipment maintenance, and process efficiency.

Proven experience in leading Lean transformations in large-scale Manufacturing operations with an ability to adapt Lean principles to complex engineering processes

Expertise in developing customized lean strategies based on the company's specific processes and needs with abilities in problem solving, conflict resolution, and a hands-on approach to process improvements.

Strong analytical skills, with a proven ability to use data for process improvement and efficiency gains.

Experience with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to manufacturing efficiency, waste reduction, and lead time improvement.

Experience in handling large teams & having cross-functional collaboration.
