Applications are invited for recruitment of various project based positions or career in Assam University Silchar.
Assam University Silchar is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Project Associate in a Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region sponsored project entitled “Social, ecological, environment and economic analysis of Sone Beel: Implications for sustainable management”. Project tenure initially for Eighteen months. The posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Assam University came into existence in 1994 after enactment of the Assam (Central) University Act 1989. Through its pursuit, Assam University is in the process of making itself an institute of excellence. Assam University's main campus is situated at Dargakona, about 20 km away from Silchar. The campus is set amid sprawling hillocks and the typical landscape of the northeast altogether. The campus is spread over 600 acres and provide an ideal environment for the researchers, students and the people interested in academic excellence.

Essential Qualification :
M.Sc. in Ecology and Environmental Science/ Forestry/Life Science/ Geography or other related subject with also a working knowledge of related fields.
Desirable: Working experience in Indian Eastern Himalayan Ecosystems
Selection Procedure :
Candidates may appear for a walk-in-interview on 30/07/2024 altogether in the PMG Hall of Assam University administrative building from 11 am onwards
