Assam Agricultural University is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Plumber and Plumber Helper. Assam Agricultural University is the first institution of its kind in the whole of North-Eastern Region of India. The main goal of this institution is to produce globally competitive human resources in farm sector and also to carry out research in both conventional and frontier areas for production optimization as well as to disseminate the generated technologies as public good for benefitting the food growers/produces and traders involved in the sector while emphasizing on sustainability, equity and overall food security at household level. Its mission is to fill up talent gap in agriculture and allied sector. The Assam Agricultural University came into being on April 1, 1969 under The Assam Agricultural University Act, 1968’ with the mandate of imparting farm education, conduct research in agriculture and also allied sciences and to effectively disseminate technologies so generated.

Essential Qualification :
Plumber: HSLC passed with ITI in Plumber Certificate & having experience of working at least 01 (one) year in maintenance works.
Plumber Helper: Minimum VIII Pass and Experience in plumbing work. Maintenance of Plumbing Works.

Monthly Emoluments :
Rs. 514.88/- per day and Rs. 15446.48/- per month (At present) Against Plumber.
Rs. 424.34/- per day and Rs. 12730.33/- per month (At present) Against Plumber Helper.
Age : As per Govt. norms
Selection Procedure :
Candidates may appear for a walk-in-interview altogether on on 29/11/2024 at 10 A.M. in the office premises of the O/0 the Directorate of Physical Plant, AAU, Jorhat-13
How to apply :
Candidates may appear in the interview and submit application in "Standard Form" with 2 (two) copies of passport size relevant certificates and mark sheets and also produce originals for verification.
