Tezpur University Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or career of Project Personnel in various projects altogether in 2025.

Name of post : Project Associate-I

Name of project : Bioinformatics and computational Biology Centre for Microbial Biodiversity in
Assam and Arunachal Pradesh

Qualification: Master’s degree in science/engineering disciplines with specialization in Computational Biology/Bioinformatics/Lifesciences/Molecular Biology & Biotechnology/ Biotechnology/ other related subject having NET/GATE or equivalent qualification.

Desirable: Preference to the candidates having research experiences in computational analysis of genome sequence, genome sequencing and annotation, or a similar field.

Responsibility: The candidate joining in the project is required to manage day to day activities under the project (maintaining the genome sequence webpage) along with organizing workshops and training programs twice a year.

Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- (Rupees thirty one thousand) only 8% HRA as admissible per month

Age: Candidates shall not be more than 35 years of age on the date of interview. Upper age limit may be relaxed as per the Government of India Rules.

Name of project : National Network Project of ACTREC-TMC, Navi Mumbai

Qualification: Master’s degree in science/engineering disciplines with specialization in Computational Biology/Bioinformatics/Lifesciences/Molecular Biology & Biotechnology/ Biotechnology /other related subject.

Desirable: Preference to the candidates with NET or GATE qualifications and experience in computational analysis of genome sequences (understanding of substitution spectra) or a similar field.

Responsibility: The candidate joining the project must manage the project’s objectives (Genome composition, codon usage Bias, and mutation spectrum analysis of breast cancer genes in humans).

Emolument: Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand) only 8% HRA as admissible per month

Age: Candidates shall not be more than 35 years of age on the date of interview. Upper age limit is relaxable as per the Government of India Rules.

Selection Procedure :

Candidates may appear for a walk-in-interview on 22nd December 2025 at 10 AM. The venue is in Office of the Head, Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Tezpur University, Assam

Interested candidates may appear before the interview board with all original and also self-attested photocopies of mark sheets, certificates from 10th standard onwards, caste certificate (if applicable), certificate of NET/GATE or also similar examination qualifications, experience certificate (if any), any other testimonials, a copy of recent signed Curriculum Vitae (CV) and duly filled in application in Annexure-I (enclosed).
