Applications are invited for recruitment of various project based positions or career in RFRI Jorhat Assam in 2025.

ICFRE-Rain Forest Research Institute (RFRI), Jorhat, Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or career of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work under Externally Aided projects entitled "Application of an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) for modelling of Runoff Hydrograph under LULC and climate change scenarios in the Dikhou River Basin of Nagaland" in 2025.

Qualification :

Essential:

Postgraduate Degree (M. Sc./M.Tech.) in any of the following disciplines with NET/GATE qualification (CSIR/UGC NET, ICARNET, GATE, or equivalent)-

1. Water Resources Engineering / Hydrology / Civil Engineering (with specialization in Hydrology)
2. Geoinformatics / Remote Sensing & GIS
3. Environmental Science / Geography / Geology / Earth Sciences
4. Forestry / Agricultural Engineering (Soil & Water Conservation / Hydrology)

Desirable:

1. Working Experience in hydrological modelling (e.g., SWAT / HEC HMS).
2. Programming proficiency in MATLAB / R for data analysis
3. Experience handling geospatial datasets
4. Field experience in watershed data collection (stream flow, rainfall, etc.).
5. Good communication and scientific report writing skills.
