Applications are invited for recruitment of various research based positions or career in NIT Silchar Assam in 2025.

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or career of Junior Research Fellow for the ANRF
sponsored project entitled "Development of Fast Fault Detection and Location Estimation Scheme for Low-Voltage DC Microgrids" in 2025.

Essential Qualification :

(i) B.E./ B. Tech or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering

(ii) M.E./ M. Tech or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Optional however preference will be given)

(iii) GATE qualified

Desirable Experience :

(i) Basic knowledge in Power System Protection.

(ii) Prior knowledge of Microgrid Dynamics and Control, Renewables (i.e. Solar PV), Power Electronics Converters, AI/ML Algorithms is advantageous but not mandatory.

Salary : Rs. 37,000/- p.m. for first two years (JRF); Rs. 42000/- p.m. for third year (SRF) (for candidates with GATE qualification)

Age Limit : 35 years (as on closing date of application i.e. 19/09/2025)
