Assam University Silchar is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or career of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) is for a Ministry of Earth Science (MoES) sponsored project under the Principal Investigator Prof Atri Deshamukhya entitled "Characteristics of hourly extreme rainfall in a complex terrain of Indian subcontinent and their Environments: Observation and modelling perspectives" in 2025.

Monthly Fellowship :

Rs. 37000/- HRA for NET / GATE qualified candidate (as per rule)

Rs. 31000/- HRA for non- NET / non-GATE qualified candidate (as per rule)

Essential Qualification :

M.Sc./M.Tech. in Physics/ Atmospheric Science (Minimum 60% or equivalent CGPA in M.Sc./ M.Tech.).

Desirable Qualification :

1. Experiences in the field of Atmospheric research including setting and running of mesoscale WRF Model
2. Working knowledge of UNIX, Python, Shell Scripting, Fortran, GrADS, CDO, NCL, R

Upper Age limit: 35 years on the date of the advertisement

Selection Procedure :
