Applications are invited for recruitment of various teaching positions or career in TISS Guwahati Assam in 2025.

Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Guwahati Off- Campus Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or career of Assistant Professor (Psychology) in its Centre for Undergraduate Studies (CUGS) in 2025.

Educational Qualification:

Eligibility (A and B or C):

A. A Master’s Degree in Psychology with at least 55% marks (or also an equivalent grade in a point
scale wherever grading system is followed). A relaxation of 5% will be provided from 55% to
50% of the marks at the Master’s level for the SC/ST/differently-abled category candidates, and also
to the Ph.D. Degree holders who have passed their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September
1991.

B. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must also have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University
Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree)
Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET

OR

C. The Ph.D. degree has been obtained altogether from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following: Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the Times Higher Education (THE) or the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).

Remuneration: Rs. 78,792/- p.m. (Pay Band Rs. 15,600 – 39,100/- with AGP Rs. 6,000/- in 6th CPC).

Application Fee:

Applicants must pay an application fee of Rs. 1000/- online. Application fee for SC/ST/PwD candidates will be Rs. 250/- if they attach the required Certificate with the online application form. The women applicants get exemption from the payment of application fees. The application will be valid only on receipt of the application fee, if applicable. Fees is non-refundable under any circumstances.
