Applications are invited for recruitment of various medical positions or career in AIIMS Guwahati Assam in 2025.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Guwahati Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or career of Senior Resident/ Specialist Medical
Officer under the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR) with support from Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJE), Government of India and nationally coordinated by NDDTC, AIIMS Delhi on purely contractual basis in 2025.

Qualification & Experience :

Essential: MD/ DNB - Postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry from NMC recognized institution.

Desirable:

1. Any post-doctoral/ fellowship qualifications including PDF/DM in Addiction Psychiatry

2. At least 2 research publications in PUBMED indexed journals

3. Research experience in mental health related projects

Salary : Consolidated Rs. 1,40,000/- per month

Upper Age Limit : 40 years

Job Roles :

1. Providing assessment and diagnostic servicesto the patients
2. ProvidingPharmacological and non-pharmacological treatmentstothe patients.
3. Providing referralservicesto the patients - including referral for other health conditions, other care needs.
4. Providing orientation to other departments/staff of the hospital (to enhance referralsto the clinic).
5. Assisting the nodal officer in Day-to-day management and supervision of the functioning of the ATF
6. Conducting community clinics and awareness activities to enhance help-seeking
7. Registering new and follow-up patients
8. Making clinical file for all new patients
9. Ensuring that records are maintained as prescribed under the scheme
10. Preparing periodic reports along with other staff of ATF
11. Assisting in maintaining stock records with nursing staff.
12. Assisting in account maintenance along with ATF staff and account section of the hospital.
13. To assist Nodal Officer in training health care workers to assess and manage persons with substance
    use disorders.
14. To participate in department of Psychiatry activities as scheduled.
15. To assist Nodal officer in conducting and reporting quality improvement and research.
16. Any other duty assigned by the Nodal Officer
