Applications are invited for recruitment of various teaching positions or career in TISS Assam.

Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Assistant Professor (Two Post) on Contract Basis for Labour Market Research Facility (LMRF). Labour Market Research Facility is an independent research and outreach centre within the School of Management and Labour Studies in TISS. LMRF is a think tank centre that specializes in areas of sustainability, circularity, big data analytics, research consultation, micro, and also macro labour market analysis, and conducting field-based research and policy studies in connection with labour and business. The LMRF is actively engaged in policy advocacy in areas such as formal and informal work, skill development, technology and labour, internal and external labour market, and also livelihoods. Along with the research, consultancy, policy contributions LMRF anchors also academic programs in managerial disciplines.

Eligibility Criteria :

Position 1

Essential Qualification:

A Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading
system is followed) altogether in Masters in Business Administration and allied subjects from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Preference will also be given to the candidates having Ph.D in Management and related fields.
• With demonstrated ability in analytics, visualization, understanding of Machine Learning, Data Curation and Social Network analysis and also handling micro data.
• Ability to teach across programmes altogether including Executive PG Diploma in Analytics

Position 2

Essential Qualification:

A Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Masters in Environmental Science/Life Science/Climate Change/ Sustainability Studies and related areas from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Preference will be given to the candidates having Ph.D in Environmental Science/Life Science/ Climate Change/Sustainability Studies and related areas
• With demonstrated ability in analytics, visualization, understanding of Machine Learning, Data Curation and ESG Framework and handling micro data.
• Ability to teach across programmes including BS in Analytics and Sustainability Studies

Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, Eligibility (A or B):

A. The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET

OR

B. The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution altogether with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following:

i. Quacquarelli Symonds(QS)

ii. the Times Higher Education (THE) or

iii. the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai)

Application Fees :

The application fee of Rs. 1000/- be paid online.
