Applications are invited for recruitment of various technical positions or career in NIT Silchar Assam.

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Project Associate-I or Project Associate-II for the SERB-DST, Govt. of India sponsored CRG project entitled "Development of smart solar photovoltaic system having encapsulated phase change material with artificial intelligence based real-time condition monitoring" in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Essential Qualification :

For Project Associate-I: B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech./M.E. in Mechanical Engineering/ Design and
Manufacturing/ Materials Science and Engineering/ Metallurgical & Materials Engineering/ Aerospace Engineering/Chemical and Polymer Engineering/Plastic Engineering/Polymer
Technology/Instrumentation Engineering/ Electronics Engineering.

For Project Associate-II:

(i) B.Tech/B.E in Mechanical Engineering/ Design and Manufacturing/Materials Science and
Engineering/ Metallurgical & Materials Engineering/Aerospace Engineering/Chemical and
Polymer Engineering/Plastic Engineering/Polymer Technology/Instrumentation Engineering/
Electronics Engineering

(ii) 2 years experience in R&D in an industrial and academic institution or Science and Technology
organization and scientific activities.

Desirable Experience :

Candidates with an M.Tech degree and hands-on experience in the synthesis of nanomaterials, coatings, functionalization, encapsulation technology, solar technology, Instrument Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning, manufacturing of composite materials, polymer technology, mechanical characterization of materials and thermal characterization.

Salary :

Project Associate-I :

(i) Rs. 31,000/- HRA to scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE OR (b) A selection process through National level examination conducted by Central Government Department
and their Agencies and institutions

OR

Rs. 25000/- HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.

Project associate-II:

(i) Rs. 35000/- HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests- CSIR- UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE OR (b) A selection process through National level examination conducted by Central Government Department and their Agencies and institutions. OR Rs. 28,000/- HRA for those who do not fall under (i) above. Candidate will be eligible for H.R.A. as per the Project/ Institute norms (if accommodation is not provided by the Institute).

Age Limit :

Not more than 35 Years. SC/ST/OBC/Women/PD candidates will get the age relaxation as per DST,
Govt. of India norms
