Assam Career : NIN Recruitment 2024

Applications are invited for recruitment of various technical positions or career in NIN Assam.

National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Project Scientist-B (Non-Medical) for the Pan India Study entitled "Diet and Biomarker Survey in India(DABS-I)" funded by ICMR at this Institute. National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as ‘Beri-Beri’ Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Within a short span of seven years, this unit blossomed into a "Deficiency Disease Enquiry" and later in 1928, emerged as full-fledged "Nutrition Research Laboratories" (NRL) with Dr. McCarrison as its first Director. It was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.

Essential Qualification :

First class Master's degree in Nutrition/ Food Science / Dietetics / Applied Nutrition from a recognized University with two years' experience also in conducting diet assessments, monitoring and quality control .

Salary : Rs. 54300/- per month

Age Limit : 35 years

Selection Procedure :

A walk-in-interview will be held on 22nd April 2024 at Central Co-ordination Unit (CCU), ICMR-National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad, Telangana.

Reporting time is altogether between 9:30 am to 10:30 am.
