Applications are invited for recruitment of various technical positions or career in LGBRIMH Assam.
Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH) Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Project Research Scientist - I (non-medical) for an ICMR-funded project titled "Efficacy of video-conference based cognitive behavioural therapy (v-CBT) in comparison with in-person cognitive behaviour therapy (IP-CBT) for obsessive compulsive disorder: A Randomised Controlled Trial." The Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH) initially came up as Tezpur Lunatic Asylum under the British Government in April, 1876.In 1922 the hospital became known as Tezpur Mental Hospital. With the progress in the field of psychiatry across the globe, steps were also taken to develop this hospital with modern facilities. Major construction activities happen in 1926. In 1999 the Institute came under the North Eastern Council (NEC). Being the premier tertiary care psychiatric institute in the NE region, the hospital got upgradation to a regional institute. It got upgradation with the objective of providing better mental health care and developing manpower in the region. The Institute became thereafter popular as “Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health.” On June 1, 2007, the Institute came under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

Essential qualification :
M.Phil in Clinical Psychology
OR
First-class master's in psychology, including integrated degrees in clinical/counselling psychology with two years of clinical experience.
AND
Experience in delivering CBT
Desirable qualification/ Experience :
- Fluency in Assamese language
- Good communication, administrative skills and ability to also work in teams.
Maximum Age Limit : 35 years
