Assam Career : ISI Recruitment 2024

Applications are invited for recruitment of various research based positions or career in ISI Assam.

Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Project linked persons purely on temporary basis in a project funded by "National Science Chair" project of SERB, Government of India titled "Granular Computing, Deep Learning and Data Analytics: Integration, Interpretability and Trustability. Mahalanobis set up the Statistical Laboratory in the Presidency College sometime in the 1920s. On 17 December 1931, the Indian Statistical Institute was founded as a learned society and housed in the Statistical Laboratory. The Institute was registered on 28 April 1932, as a non-profit distributing learned society under the Societies Registration Act (XXI of 1860) and is now registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act XXVI of 1961 amended in 1964. Sir R.N. Mookerjee accepted the office of the President of the Institute, and held this office until his death in 1936.

Qualifications :

Ph.D. in Computer Science/ Engineering, Electronics/ Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science or related areas, with good publications, good academic record and good knowledge in computer programming.

Research areas : Pattern Recognition, Image/ Video Processing, Data Mining, Deep Learning, Soft Computing, and/or related domains.

Pay : Rs. 35000/- to Rs. 42000/- per month depending on qualification and experience altogether

Age :

Should not exceed 35 years as on 01 April 2024, with usual relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Women and also differently abled candidates.

Age relaxation may also be given to outstanding candidates or candidates with relevant experience.
