Applications are invited for recruitment of various project based positions or career in IIT Guwahati Assam.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of JRF (GATE) in the project entitled "Design and fabrication of 2D photonic crystal devices for data centre applications" on Contractual basis at the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering. Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, came into being in 1994. The academic programme of IIT Guwahati begun in 1995. At present the Institute has eleven departments, seven inter-disciplinary academic centres and five schools covering all the major engineering , science, healthcare, management and humanities disciplines. It offers B.Tech., B.Des., M.A., M.Des., M.Tech., M.Sc., MBA and Ph.D. programmes. Within a short period of time, IIT Guwahati has found it possible to build up world class infrastructure for carrying out advanced research and has been equipped with state-of-the-art scientific and engineering instruments. Besides its laurels in teaching and research, IIT Guwahati has also found it possible to fulfil the aspirations of people of the North East region to a great extent since its inception in 1994.

Qualifications :
- B. Tech in EE / ECE/ EEE / EIE or equivalent
- M. Tech in VLSI / Photonics can also apply.
- Should have basic understanding of semiconductor devices and optical fibre communication.
- Knowledge in numerical tools like Synopsys, SILVACO, OptiWAVE, LUMERICAL, MATLAB, LabVIEW etc. is preferable
Selection Procedure :
Candidates have to appear for a walk-in-interview on 26th June 2024 at 10 AM in Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, IIT Guwahati, Assam

Candidates have to appear in the Walk in Interview along with an application/CV on plain paper
giving details of all educational qualifications, experience, contact address, phone no., E - mail etc.
and submit photocopies of relevant documents at the time of interview.
Candidates will not be sent any call letter separately.
Applicants will not get TA / DA for appearing altogether in the interview
No campus accommodation will also be provided to the selected candidate.
