Applications are invited for recruitment of various research based positions or career in Gauhati University Assam.

Gauhati University Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Research Assistant purely on temporary basis in the project entitled "Widening Access to Higher Education in India: Institutional Approach." Gauhati University is altogether one of the premier institutions of higher education in Northeast India and one of the most sought-after postgraduate institutions. It is the oldest and the largest university in the entire Northeast. The university represents the academic and cultural background of the region, on which the other academic institutions of Northeast India started their journey. It is the pioneer educational institute also. It also extends its hand holding support to all subsequent academic institutions in this region. Indologist and philanthropist Krishna Kanta Handiqui had been the founder Vice Chancellor of Gauhati University. Some very illustrious sons and daughters of Assam have been its alumni.  It was also placed at the top spot above all universities in the Northeast India.

Salary: Rs. 10,000/- per month

Essential Qualification:

Masters in any discipline with minimum 55% marks (Preferably from Social Sciences and
Humanities)

Desired Qualification:

Proficiency in Assamese and English, written and spoken. Should also possess experience in
qualitative data handling and data analysis.

Selection Procedure :

A walk-in-interview will be held on 19th June 2024 from 11:30 AM onwards altogether in Conference Room, Department of Women's Studies, Gauhati University, Assam
