Applications are invited for recruitment of various project based positions or career in Gauhati University Assam.

Gauhati University Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Research Assistants for a duration of five months. The area of the field study will be Gauhati University (Guwahati), Rupahi College (Nagaon), J.N. College (Boko) and one college under GU. The engagement will be given on temporary basis. Gauhati University is altogether one of the premier institutions of higher education in Northeast India and one of the most sought-after postgraduate institutions. It is the oldest and the largest university in the entire Northeast. The university represents the academic and cultural background of the region, on which the other academic institutions of Northeast India started their journey. It is the pioneer educational institute also. It also extends its hand holding support to all subsequent academic institutions in this region. Indologist and philanthropist Krishna Kanta Handiqui had been the founder Vice Chancellor of Gauhati University. Some very illustrious sons and daughters of Assam have been its alumni.

Essential Qualifications:

Masters in any discipline with minimum 55% marks .

Candidates from Social Science and Humanities backgrounds also preferred

Desirable Qualification:

Proficiency in Assamese and English, written and spoken.

Candidates should have skills in MS Word, Excel and Power Point.

Should possess experience in data collection, data handling and data analysis.

Selection Procedure :

A walk-in-interview will be held on 5th April 2024 from 11.30 AM onwards in Conference Room, Department of Women's Studies, Gauhati University
