Applications are invited for recruitment of various academic positions or career in Dibrugarh University Assam.

Dibrugarh University Assam is inviting applications from distinguished Scientists / Professors for recruitment to the post or career of the K.D. Malaviya Chair Professorship in the Department of
Applied Geology. Dibrugarh University, the easternmost University in India, was altogether established in 1965 consequent upon the provisions of the Dibrugarh University Act, 1965, enacted by the Assam Legislative Assembly. It is also a leading research and innovation driven University that acts as a spatial slot to configure the socio-cultural dynamics of North East India. The University also encourages myriad enterprises that harbour on a constellation of thinking, theorizing, and reflection. The University altogether hosts 177 affiliated colleges and institutes that spread over nine districts of Assam. Dibrugarh University is a member of the Association of Indian Universities and is recognised by all the universities in India and abroad. It is situated at Rajabheta, five kilometres to the South of the Dibrugarh town

Eligibility Criteria :

An eminent scholar in the field of Earth Science [Petroleum Geology/ Sedimentology/ Biostratigraphy (Micropaleontology /Palynology) /Petroleum Geochemistry /Reservoir Engineering/
Exploration Geophysics/ Structural Geology and Tectonics], with published works of high quality and who is actively engaged in research with 10 (ten) years of experience in Post Graduate teaching and research in the University/ National level Institution/ Training and Research Institute of National importance with experience of guiding research at doctoral level need to apply.

OR

An outstanding Scholar/ Geo-Scientist from Industry preferably having Ph.D. degree with minimum of 25 years of experience and specific work experience of more than 12 years in any of the above mentioned fields may also apply

Age Limit :

The aspirants should not cross below 45 years of age and above 63 years as on 1st Jan, 2024
