Cotton University Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Guest Faculty in Economics. Formerly known as Cotton College, Cotton University is a Public State University located in Guwahati, the capital city of Assam. Cotton College, the name decided by the public to honour its founder, was inaugurated on 27th May 1901 by Sir Henry Cotton himself. The institution started functioning with five professors, which included Frederick William Sudmersen, the first Principal of the College, and 37 students. The university also came into existence in 2017 via The Cotton University Act, 2017 that enabled the unification of Cotton College State University and Cotton College. The university is a reputed premier institute of higher learning in Assam at present.

Essential Qualifications:
Good academic records with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at Masters Degree Level (MA/MSc. in Economics) in a relevant subject
from an Indian University or also an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
Remuneration : As per University norms
Age Limit : There is no age bar for Guest Faculty. Retired teachers’ having good track record may also be preferred.

Candidates may appear for a walk-in-interview on 24th September 2024 at 10 AM
