Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Junior Engineer (Mechanical) under Public Works Roads Department and Public Works (Building & NH) Department.

Pay Scale : PB-2 Rs. 14000/- to Rs. 60500/- + Grade Pay Rs. 8700/-
Qualification & Experience :
- The candidate must have a three year diploma in Mechanical Engineering from any technical institute recognized by Government
- The Diploma must be a regular course. Diploma courses obtained through Distance Mode of Education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted
- Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of atleast one official language of state of Assam (i.e. Assamese / Bengali / Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council

Additional Criteria :
The candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be a permanent resident of Assam.
As a domicile proof of the candidate, he/she must upload a copy of the valid Permanent Resident
Certificate issued in Assam for educational purpose/Employment Exchange Registration Certificate will be treated as proof of residency.
Age Limit :
The candidates should not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01/01/2024. The upper age limit is relaxable as per rules of Govt. of Assam
