Assam: Bike rider killed in excavator accident on flyover in Guwahati
Guwahati: A tragic road accident occurred on the Ganeshguri flyover in Guwahati on Thursday night, resulting in the death of a bike rider.
According to police, the incident happened when an excavator collided with the bike from behind, trapping the rider beneath its wheels.
The force of the impact was severe, leading to the immediate death of the bike rider. The driver of the excavator fled the scene after the accident. The bike involved in the accident bore the registration number AS01FF6642.
Emergency services were alerted and arrived at the scene promptly. Despite their best efforts, they were unable to save the victim. The identity of the deceased remains unknown at this time.
The body has been sent to the Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) for post-mortem examination.
