Yangki Taki becomes first Arunachalee woman to present Man of the Match award
Pasighat: For the first time ever, an Arunachalee woman has handed over the Man of the Match award at an international cricket event, the “Apne Liye, Apno Ke Liye” Award, during the South Africa vs. India five-day test match at Guwahati's Barsapara Stadium on November 26, 2025.
Yangki Taki, one of the top business performers in India, was specially invited to present the award. She is the daughter of Shaini Taki and Moryom Pertin Taki and hails from Komsing Village in Siang District.
Representing SBI Life, Taki stood in 2nd position across India in the company's business performance. Her father, Shaini Taki, has been supportive of her achievement.
"It's a great achievement and a proud moment for Arunachalees as well as for the people of the entire Northeast region," said Rajiv Kuli, SBI Life Chief Business Manager, Pasighat Branch, today.
Yangki’s selection is a recognition of her outstanding business achievements, and her participation in handing over the trophy at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium on November 26, 2025, marks a proud and historic moment for Arunachal Pradesh and the Northeast, Kuli added.
She became the first Arunachalee to present a trophy at an international cricket event.
Taki handed over the Man of the Match award to South Africa's Senuran Muthusamy from the winning team, informed SBI Life official sources.
"As a father and parents, we are feeling so proud of our daughter, Yangki Taki, who became the first Arunachalee woman to present an award at an international cricket event," said Shaini Taki.
