Itanagar: Three Indian Army personnel lost their lives when the truck they were traveling in plunged into a gorge near the Tapi area on the Trans-Arunachal Highway in Upper Subansiri.

The tragic accident occurred earlier today, and authorities are still investigating the exact circumstances that led to the vehicle's fall.

The soldiers who died in the incident have been identified as Havildar Nakhat Singh, Naik Mukesh Kumar, and Gunner Ashish.

The Indian Army and local authorities have been working to recover the bodies and assess the situation.

This incident adds to a series of recent tragedies involving military personnel in the region.

In June, five Indian Army soldiers were killed in a similar accident when their tank was swept away by flash floods in eastern Ladakh.

The soldiers were participating in a military drill near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China when a sudden surge in the river's water level caused the tank to sink.

The victims included four jawans and one Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO).
