Assam and Sikkim chief ministers also attended the swearing-in ceremony of the new BJP government in Arunachal Pradesh.

Pul (46) represents the Hayuliang assembly constituency in Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh.

After taking oath as a minister Pul said: “I am delighted, and the women of the entire state share this joy. The BJP has given a cabinet berth to a woman in our state for the first time.”

“I extend my heartfelt thanks to the BJP government and our chief minister. The BJP has consistently worked towards women empowerment, and we will continue to uphold this commitment,” she added.

She first entered politics in 2016 through a by-election following the death of her husband, former Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Kalikho Pul.

She has since been re-elected to the Arunachal Pradesh legislative assembly twice, in 2019 and 2024.

Earlier, Dasanglu Pul had also served as an adviser to the Arunachal Pradesh women and child development department.

This term, Arunachal Pradesh boasts four women MLAs, with Tsering Lhamu (Lumla), Chakat Aboh (Khonsa West), and Nyabi Jini Dirchi (Basar) joining Pul in the legislative assembly.
