Arunachal: Preparation on for 80th World War II Commemoration, Pangsau fest
Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh is gearing up for the 80th Commemorative Celebration of World War II, to be held in conjunction with the Pangsau Pass Winter Festival.
Preparations include the construction of a dedicated World War II Museum at Jairampur and the renovation of colonial-era heritage structures to form a heritage tourism circuit.
The initiative aims to attract WWII enthusiasts, researchers, and remembrance travellers globally, while also generating livelihood opportunities for local communities in areas such as guiding, hospitality, handicrafts, and transport.
