ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh BJP MLA Phosum Khimhun passed away on Saturday (March 09) due to a heart attack.

He was 63 years old.

Khimhun was elected from Changlang South constituency in the 2014 Arunachal Pradesh assembly elections as a candidate of the People's Party of Arunachal.

Subsequently, he secured victory once more in 2019 Arunachal Pradesh assembly elections, this time on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket.

He is survived by his wife and two children.
