Arunachal: Man accidentally shot dead by hunting partner in Tirap

Dibrugarh:  In a bizarre event, a guy in the Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh was allegedly shot by his hunting partner by accident close to the forest area between Tirung village and Lingdongthong.

The deceased has been identified as- Longkhon Lama(54). He was a resident of Borduria village.

The incident happened on Saturday during a hunting trip at about five o'clock in the evening.

In the Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh, hunting is a deeply ingrained custom that is mostly carried out by the native Nocte and Wancho tribes for cultural ceremonies, food security, and, to a lesser extent, economic purposes.
