Arunachal govt to amend syllabi for state civil service exam
Guwahati: The state government has approved the proposal to amend the syllabi for the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination (APPSCCE) Rule-2019.
This revision incorporates topics related to Arunachal Pradesh in both the preliminary and main examinations.
The Arunachal Pradesh state cabinet, led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, convened on Saturday and made several crucial decisions impacting education, languages, healthcare, and infrastructure development.
The cabinet also recommended the appointment of new members to the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission.
In a significant move to preserve and promote indigenous languages, the cabinet approved notifying 23 local languages and dialects spoken by the state's constitutionally recognized tribes as the third language option within Arunachal Pradesh.
To accommodate the increased MBBS student intake at Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (TRIHMS), the cabinet approved the creation of 39 faculty positions.
The cabinet sanctioned the creation of one each of professor, associate professor, and assistant professor posts in the cardiology department of TRIHMS.
The cabinet also approved the creation of new positions across various healthcare departments, including deputy drugs controller and public health nursing officers.
