Arunachal: Four killed in road mishap in Changlang

Dibrugarh: At least four persons, including the driver of a truck, were killed during a road accident in Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday.

Changlang Superintendent of Police Kirli Padu informed that the accident took place in the 18-mile area under the Manmao police station of the district.

He said that the truck was loaded with bricks from a kiln in Kharsang.

It was on its way to Manmao when the driver lost control of the vehicle after which the truck fell into a roadside gorge.

"Six persons were on the vehicle and three died on the spot, while the fourth died at Jairampur Hospital during treatment", the SP said.

He further added that two persons were admitted in the hospital for further treatment.

Meanwhile, local authorities, including the police and district administration have launched an inquiry into the incident.
