Arunachal govt partners with Delhi's ILBS for cashless healthcare
Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh government has partnered with the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) in Delhi to provide cashless medical treatment up to Rs 5 lakh to beneficiaries of the Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana (CMAAY).
Chief Minister Pema Khandu announced the collaboration, stating that the MoU will enable residents to access specialized liver and biliary care at ILBS without out-of-pocket expenses.
The treatment will be covered based on credit authorization issued by the CMAAY on the recommendation of the referral board at the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) in Naharlagun.
"This partnership marks a major milestone in our efforts to provide world-class healthcare facilities to our people. By collaborating with ILBS, we are ensuring that our citizens have access to advanced medical treatment for complex liver and biliary conditions," said Khandu.
The credit facility extended to Arunachal Pradesh residents is offered at the Central Government Health Scheme (CHGS) rates, providing substantial cost savings to beneficiaries.
The MoU was signed by Krishna Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Arunachal Pradesh Health and Family Welfare Department, and Arun Kumar Rastogi, Head of Medical Operations at ILBS.
Under the CMAAY, families can register for health insurance coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh annually for their members, providing financial protection against medical expenses.
The partnership with ILBS further enhances the scheme's ability to meet the diverse healthcare needs of the state's population.
