My School Fete at Bright Beginning Jr. School
On a bright and sunny Friday, all the students of Bright Beginning Jr. School had a very lovely and wonderful experience. It was the 9th of January 2026. For the first time, our school organised a fete. Our school informed us to reach the school campus at 8:30 am. The school campus was decorated beautifully. When I reached the school, I was amazed to see 3 big stalls. Art and Craft stall, Games stall and a Food stall. All the parents were helping the teachers to decorate the stalls. I went to the cash counter as the teachers gave me the responsibility of working as a cashier for the games stall. My fellow friends Abhirag Baruah and Mishani Nayab Choudhury were also the cashier for the other 2 stalls. I felt a bit nervous at first but slowly got comfortable. A lot of guests arrived. They came to the cash counter to get the tickets and coupons. At first, we were able to control the crowd but as time passed a lot of guests arrived and we had a hard time addressing them. I had to work very fast. My friends were also very busy. They were selling their items and giving away the coupons. Our school also launched a special notebook. Our school had an art competition. The theme of the competition was what we think about the future cities, The winning drawings were published in the notebook. The name of the notebook was – ‘Our Future City'. Soon, it was our lunch time.
Our Principal Sir and Ma’am were helping us, and they told us to have tiffin. After eating, I went to the cash counter again. Parents and children from the pre-school also came. They wanted to play games. I was exhausted, so I asked Principal Sir to sit in my place.
After some time, all of our tickets were sold out but people were still coming and asking for tickets. I got worried but just then our Principal Sir came up with an innovative idea. Soon we had some makeshift tickets. We firmly believe no matter what the show must go on. I also played all the games and won a pencil set.
It was a grand success. I was completely exhausted but also very happy. After finishing all the work, all of us went home happily. Parents and students enjoyed playing games, loved the food items and also were very excited to buy the art and craft items.
