Major reshuffle in Manipur police, 128 officers transferred

Imphal: In a significant reshuffle in Manipur Police, the state government on Friday transferred a total of 128 officers to the ranks and files of the Inspectors as a strategic approach to strengthen governance and administrative efficiency across various districts against the backdrop of the prevailing law and order situation.

Rajiv Singh, Director General of Police Manipur, on Friday, issued an order for the transfer and posting of the Inspector of the Manipur police department with immediate effect in the public interest and further order.

In this significant administrative overhaul, a total of 52 police inspectors were among the 128 inspectors posted with promotions, the order states.

The police chief further states that the Manipur Police Training Centre (MPTC) and concerned Superintendents of police/Commandants are informed to take necessary action(s) accordingly and report compliance.

The government’s unprecedented intent is to invigorate the administrative machinery with fresh perspectives and renewed vigor, ensuring efficient governance and rapid development across this strife state of Manipur.
